With a distinguished career spanning over three decades at Verizon Communications as a Principal Network Engineer, Br.
Timur Muhammad Mirza brings to ArabiQuraan not only technical expertise but a profound and enduring commitment to the
Arabic language and Qur'anic studies.
Born in Hyderabad, India, Br. Mirza began his academic journey in the field of telecommunications, earning his
Bachelor's from San Diego State University and a Master's from the University of Southern California. Yet it was his
deep passion for the Arabic language that led him to undertake a rigorous and transformative course of study through the
Arab Academy (Cairo, Egypt)—an online institution where he completed 15 advanced-level Arabic courses between 2004 and
2011, earning an 'A' grade in every course. His fluency in Arabic—reading, writing, and speech—has been cultivated over
years of dedicated study and daily immersion, including exclusive consumption of Arabic media such as Al-Jazeera and BBC
Arabic since 2004.
For over a decade, Br. Mirza has devoted himself to teaching Arabic in the community, offering classes at the Islamic
Center of Irvine from 2011 to 2022, and currently teaching an online Arabic course through WebEx. He has delivered
presentations on the importance of Arabic as the language of the Qur'an at numerous Islamic centres across the United
States, including Raleigh, San Gabriel Valley, San Bernardino, Riverside, Yorba Linda, and more. His weekly khaatiraat
(spiritual reflections) on Qur'anic Morphology have helped students explore the divine linguistic depth of the Qur'an
with clarity and reverence.
Through ArabiQuraan, Br. Mirza offers a unique blend of linguistic precision, spiritual insight, and clear
instruction—ideal for students eager to understand the Qur'an in its original Arabic. Whether you're a complete beginner
or a student aiming to refine your comprehension, Br. Mirza's teaching is rooted in experience, sincerity, and a deep
love for the Arabic language.

In this episode, we invite Mr. Timur Muhammad Mirza, Arabic instructor at the Islamic Center of Irvine, California. Mr. Mirza was born in Hyderabad India and has Certification in Arabic Grammar & Morphology from the Arab Academy in Egypt. He will be sharing tips and advice on how to master the Arabic language for non-native speakers.
In his khutbah at the Islamic Center of Irvine, Br. Timur Mirza passionately emphasized that learning Arabic is not merely a scholarly pursuit but a spiritual obligation for those who seek a deeper, more intimate connection with the Qur'an. He reminded the congregation that understanding the Qur'an in its original language unveils its beauty, precision, and divine guidance in a way no translation can truly capture.
